76 Jeep 304 carb and fuel filter question?

I have a 76 Jeep Cj 5 and it keeps leaking at the fuel filter. I've replaced the aftermarket fuel filter that was originally on it and it also began to leak. I had them hooked up right. The Jeep has been sitting for about 3 months. It's like the fuel filter to the carb isn't working right or something is backed up in the carb. Anyone have a clue to what is going on?
 
did you cross thread the nut putting it back on if not put some teflon tape and try that
