i have a mandatory court date for 74 in a 55 oct 27 but ileave for boot camp for 13 weeks aug 21. what should i do or what can i do could a lawyer take care of this while im gone
Yes a lawyer can take care of it while you are gone. So can your recruiter (but I would not trust him to show up). You can also check with the clerk of the court and the prosecutor now. Bring any paper work showing what is going on in your life. The prosecutor may take that into account. They have great latitude on what to do in such cases.
Head down to the court house, speak to the clerk and see if you can pay it now, or contact the DA and tell them your situation and see if they'll offer a plea deal. You may need some paperwork from your recruiter proving you are leaving.
