does any one know where I can get more info on this channel IE when is the next broadcast?
And how much for this PPV?
Also is it always broadcast on Sat 91

Any help would be appreciated

Its certainly one of those channels that I think even most folks at BEV don't know exists.

Since I noticed the channel on my receiver, games have been shown very rarely. Matches shown on this channel on BEV have been some small subset of matches shown in Dish network in the US. One-day matches only (no 5 day games!), and usually involving India or Pakistan. I think they have been around $25-30 per one-day match in the past.

The Dish Network cricket broadcast schedules can be found at: http://www.dishnetwork.com/content/programming/ppv/sports_events/cricket/index.shtml however they don't list any upcoming coverage. Dish Network have also been passed by DirecTV as the key cricket provider to the US in recent times. I don't know if BEV will pick up any coverage from DirecTV.

I've never phoned up BEV and asked about it, seeing as I can't order PPV down here anyway. But you could always try that.

-51 games including the finals

-packages can be added as on March 1st
-1st match will be March 13th
-final is Saturday 28th of April

-channel 703 and channel 708 (between 13/03 and 28/03)

Cost between the 1st and 31st of March:179.99$/1 time
Cost after the 1st of April:99.99$/1 time

You need an upgrade kit to receive that channel

And you are right, we are very misinformed about that channel

Just want to mention that once the order is placed his package is not cancellable, like the other sports pack

What upgrade kit is required to receive channels 703/708?

I'm getting both of them with my old single-dish (91) set-up. Or, at least, I'm getting the notice that I need to subscribe to the Cricket World Cup package on both channels.

The $100 price after April 1 is not listed on the web-site. Is this info being with-held until that time, or is it a rumor?

You need a Nimiq 2 upgrade to receive signal from sat 82. You have that upgrade kit if you have HD reciver already. If not look at the dish and see if there is 1 round eye or 2 pointing to the dish. If only one you will have to order the upgrade kit.

The 100$ price after the 1st of April is probably and info held until then to the client, but certainly not a rumor. As soon as the launched the package agents were informed in our internal system called Info zone and we had that info already

Another way to see if you have the upgrade is simply to tune in to channel 703. The preliminary games are in free preview. If you can not acces them, then you probably don't have the upgrade kit

I know for sure I only have a single 18" round dish with an LNB pointed at only at Nimiq 1.

However, I got both the warm-up games on Friday on channels 703/708.
However, now both 703 and 708 have disappeared from my programming guide - so maybe they've moved to Nimiq2 since then?

I have the upgrade kit to see both birds and channels 703 & 708 are gone for me now too. I expect they will now only appear when subscribed to.

BEVinBOS that means you will have to add the upgrade kits to be able to receive it...

There was one game tonight (11-03-2007) that was also in free preview, if i'm not mistaken... Then the cup will start and only those who suscribe to the package will get the games... Some of the games might be broadcasted on other Indian channels available on Bell Express Vu... Check bell.ca in the section What's on TV tonight to find out
