My baby has pneumonia, he went to the doctor two weeks ago twice got xrays and amoxicillin. He took his medicine twice a day for 10 days he seems a lot better maybe not 100% yet but a lot better! We went for follow up xrays today, pneumonia is still there. The doctor said since he clinically seems better she just wants me to watch him for now. We have an appointment to be rechecked again the Monday after Christmas. I was told sometimes even after antibiotics the xrays still show pneumonia but it will get better anyway. I have no experience with pneumonia and I'm worried about him. Is it normal for him to still have xrays showing pneumonia after antibiotics? Also for anyone who is reading he has acid reflux, he takes prevacid everyday. Do I need to worry or is this normal?
