7,500 mile service $$$

Straight from Ducati NA:

600 mile service - $144.38
7500 mile service - $ 256.88
15000 mile service - $ 362.20
After 7500 mile Valve service ("Service A") - $ 294.80
After 15000 mile Valve service ("Service B") - $366.30

*Note that these Ducati numbers are labor, not tax, and I'm not sure if it included parts, probably not.

$250 for parts and labor.

Granted I did have my cams replaced under warranty at around 6500 miles and I did the oil change myself. They inspected the timing belt and said it did not need adjustment. They also inspected the entire bike and found a missing upper fairing stay bolt (that explained the vibration on the windscreen!) and a missing exhaust spring. They replaced the bolt and spring and reset the ECU.

According to the article (and Ducati North America), shop charges including parts AND labor but not taxes:

600 mile service - $144.38
7500 mile service - $ 256.88
15000 mile service - $ 362.20
After 7500 mile Valve service ("Service A") - $ 294.80
After 15000 mile Valve service ("Service B") - $366.30

Why people are paying $800 or $1100 is beyond me. I guess they have money to blow.

I asked my dealer about it.. I was told a set price of 650$ but most likely I'll do the oil myself and maybe even remove the fairings to drop that down some..

It's 6hrs labor @ $90 or so plus parts. I will be doing my 15,000 mile service so I can aquaint myself with the desmo valve system. Changing the cam belts is simple. Only unknown is how many if any shims you need for the valves. I didn't need any at 7500 miles so hopefully it is the same.
