6GB plan

I assumed that that question was answered (or not) since it came from a Roger's customer. Easy enough to find out - the carrier will tell him.

I just felt like stating that lol, as I am in a competitive position with Rogers, and from my understanding Rogers Blackberries do not tether! and was hopin for some sort of confirmation...lol

That was all!

Well, you may get it yet krikor.

Squished, have you checked with Rogers to see if they allow tethering?

Tethering is definately allowed and has been confirmed by many users of various forums including myself. Rogers has no restrictions on tethering of all smart phones, it is by no means limited to bb. I can also confirmed this as I have been tethering my bb with my laptop for some time now without any extra charges.

Ummmm BiggDaddy you can teather a Curve without any issues regaurdless of the data plan as long as you have a data plan and not the $15 unlimited email and bb messenger plan. It depends completely on the device you are using. I also work for Rogers. Rogers cannot stop you from doing this and they also don't care as long as you don't go over what you are paying for they have nothing to say about how you use the device. Take a look at the Terms of service and acceptable use policy that is given to every customer. Curves are able to teather along with the 8800 and 8820 Pearls are not capable of teathering. I do beleive the 8700 is though. Also the Bold is capable of this as well.

Exactly as mentioned by the above post. Rogers don't care if you tether or not and also they don't care if you go over your data plan either. The more you go over the more money they get from you. I've been tethering for a while now and no extra charges, so for those that want to tether their bb, go nuts.

I tethered many times with no additional charges. I also got a confirmation from the tech dptthat it is ok to do so, and that they don't care...

Yeah I am tethering on Rogers with my 8100 as well... I can connect at 115kbps.
I set up modems on my laptop to connect to my cell as per other posts on tethering.
So my question is, am i cutting into my minutes as talk time ? or data as GB ??
I thought it was being measured against my data plan, but thinking perhaps not ?
Would moving to a 3G phone make the connection any faster ?
