6682 now not recognized

I have had this phone just over a year now, and have just started to use all the features. I have SmartMovie and just tried to sync my phone up and the phone shows it's connected, but i get errors in using the sync software and the phone no longer shows up in the explorer window. I tried re-booting the phone, but no luck being that easy.

BTW, I really appreciate al;l the posts, really helped me get started with my first Symbian phone.

Which is worse: ignorance or apathy? Who knows? Who cares?
 
yes i'm using the nokia software, is there any other way to just drag-n-drop files to the phone running windows? i connect with usb cable. after a few restarts of the phone and computer, it just started working? can't say what did the trick. thanks for responding to my plea. =P
 
For the 6682, PC Suite is the way to go for drag & drop of files. You could also hook up a memory card reader to the PC.

It seems that sometimes the Phone Browser in Windows Explorer stops working or makes it crash. I've seen this a few times.

The newer S60 version 3 phones have a mass storage device mode that lets you copy files back and forth using USB without PC Suite.
