Hey guys,
I'm almost 14 and I love cycling-I started biking just to high school on a cheap Walmart mountain bike a month ago. I found out that I loved to bike to school and joined the school biking club. I loved the first ride, and I thought that maybe I should go a little more into cycling, like maybe racing a bit, or just going plain faster...
The problem: My bike is a $89 dual-suspension mountain bike (24" wheels) that I got only for the looks (average ~12 mph-and I'm a good rider) ...Yes, 24" wheels, although I can ride 26" fine.
I thought that I might want a cheap (as in 200-250 bucks) road bike or a hybrid so I can go faster, hopefully close to 20 mph...
I checked out a schwinn avenue (224 bucks) but the 700c tires are HUGE, and i simply cannot get on. Is there a hybrid/road bike thats somewhere around 26" (600c? 650c?) that anyone knows about? Around 200-250 dollars?
