With Chevys, there is almost universal compatibility among engines and transmissions, but I know with Ford, things are not so easy. My question - a 1963 Mercury Comet has a six-cylinder engine and a 3-speed manual on the column. Will a small-block Ford 289 or 302 bolt to the Comet's bellhousing?
