6230b problems

my phone freezes where none of the buttons do anything. i have to pull out the battery for a few seconds and replace it and it all works fine again except i have to update my time and date again. sometimes some of the buttons dont work but i'm not sure if its the buttons or that its just freezing cause all the sudden they will work without me pulling the battery. any thoughts on why it does this? other than this i really love everything about the phone.
 
updating the firmware won't help. plus, you might just dead your phone during the process.

6230b. don't really see that around anymore. ever consider gettin a new phone?
