OK:

I am 14. and I need a new phone. the e815 is now my sister's, and my 8100 drowned in my friend's pool a few days ago.

I've narrowed my phone choice down to a few phones:
Primarily:
Samsung sch-u740
LG VX-9900 enV
Motorola SLVR
LG VX8300

Secondary (phones that I might buy just cuz they're similarly priced):
Motorola maxx Ve
LG 8700.

Well, what do you guys think? I need about $240 for two years of text messaging, but I don't want to spend another $200 right away, especially because I would only have (in theory) $60 left over. However, i'd prolly end up spending that pretty fast.

I do not have a job (I kind of lost my babysitting job because I disciplined their child (time out for a minute and a half)... and am looking for one. I don't know what to do though, i don't know of any place that will hire 14 year old people.

But, anyway, for the whole phone thing, I was hoping for some traditional HoFo input.

Thanks in advance,

~Jester

It may be bias'd but I have an enV and love it, best phone I've ever had.

I would shy away from the RAZR Maxx, sure the design has been radically altered and in essence improved upon, it still has far too many software problems and lacking of true dedication for my tastes.

The u740 is a quality piece of equipment, but texting is a chore. If you are looking for speed and effectiveness, go with the enV

With all that being said.... go with the enV

EnV all the way....friend picked up a U740 recently & it just doesnt compare to the EnV....Razr MaXX is a piece with a slow UI.....VX8300 is nothing special & everyone & their mom has them....
