My daughter is 5 months old and she has been sick for around 2 months now. It gets better and worse but she's never without a problem!
At just 3months old she was taken into hospital with a UTI (ecoli) that quickly progressed into septicemia! Due to this she has been taking antibiotics ever since (TRIMETHOPRIM). The doctors said she needs to take this antibiotic until she is at least 6 months old to prevent any further infections.
Around 2 months ago she developed a cold.... this cold never really went away. For the past 3 weeks she has had a very bad cough and blocked nose. Her chest is wheezy and you can hear the flem. Sometimes when she is sick you can see the flem in her sick. I have taken her to the doctor many times and here is a list of meds we have tried so far:
Fenstil drops
Ambroxol drops
Saline nose drops
Augmentin (5 days)
Opti Coughpan
Currently she still has a flemy cough, she has dioreah and is often sick. Generally she has re-flux so im not sure if she's sick because she is unwell or not?
I dont know what to do next...? shouldI ask for a chest x-ray to be done? or any kinds of tests? Im also extreamly worried about what all these medicines are doing to her little body.
