I don't know about just 5, i could give you 7 easy.

The Harry Potter series. Not only are they easy to read, but they are also easy to understand and keep you thinking.

There is a reason why they are so popular.

Pippi Longstockings
Poetry by Jack Prelutsky The New Kid on the Block
Bruce Coville Aliens Ate My Homework and Jeremy Thatcher Dragon Hatcher

i advise you to start reading hard to understand books that you would have trained your mind well. its useless reading books that dont give you anything and just waste your time, try reading paulo coelho, veronika decides to die, j.d salinger catcher in the rye, make reading a worthwhile passion, dont consider yourself dumb by choosing very simple books, train to read complex books.

Whether you are a boy or a girl, consider reading: "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks. -- It is easy to read.

Try his other works also. He has a very flowing writing style. He truly makes reading a pleasure!

Look into Twilight, they aren't the most well written books, but they are very easy reads. Also look into the Maximum Ride series!
