5. A population of snapdragons in the botanical gardens has 36 plants producing red
flowers for every 100 plants.
Assume that mating is at random and that red plants are the result of homozygotes for
the red-producing allele. Pink plants are heterozygotes and white plants are
homozygotes for the alternative allele.
What proportion of the plants would you expect to be:
(a) pink
(b) white
(I have tried this question and failed I'm not just being lazy)
