My daughter just read the 1, 2, and 3 twiilight and now she wants to read the last but I am afraid to let her because she is only 10 should I let her

No! They have sex, like, fifty times in there! Just let her read it when she gets older! It's an okay book, but you should not let a ten-year-old read it. NO.

It depends how mature your daughter is. Why don't you read it first and then decide if she can handle it. At least if you read it, you can discuss it together. My ten year old read it, but didn't seem to make a big deal of it. I did not find it very graphic and believe she has probably picked up on worse things between school and the internet.

i would say yes. im only 12 and i read it. it's really not that bad, S. Meyer did a really good job not making it..ur..um...slutty. for example the first time they do it S. Meyer shows bella getting ready. than she goes out to the ocean where edward is waiting, and than edwards all like "are you sure you want to do this" and bella says yes and edward said "if i hurt you at all you must tell me immediately" so on and so on. and than bella says ok and than bella says something about the moon. then it ends the chapter, the next chapter is after sex. like the morning after, and it's really not that bad, it took me like 5 pages to realize they were naked, that's how "censored" it was!

i really hope you let her read it because in my opinion it was the best book out of the entire sage!

No. OMG you shoulnd't have let her read ANY of it! It has a really bad moral: 'Woman are weak creatures who cannot survive without men'. Crud, she makes us look like what they thought in the Henry VIII days. It also gives her bad escpecttions for her life, and, well... too much kissy-kissy. Let's just say they take off their clothes ALOT. Don't. Spare her. Heck, I know like, a few 8th graders who's mom forbades them from reading it, it's that bad!!~*

If she is a mature 10 year old then there should be no harm. There are a few more mature scenes, but I would not describe them as too detailed. You can see more than that on a TV show every night. There are 2 "love" scenes but no details, just an explanation of feelings the day after. My 11 year old daughter read it and she did not think that is was too mature for her.

Well i mean ur a mom and u probrobly scared that she will read something unappropriet but trust me stephanie blocked out the nasty parts...but its a great book...its not like she can get any ideas...i hope

You should have never let her read the first 3. I work in a library and those books are not for her age or her grade level. They are intended for teenagers.

its only a book and i dont see a reason why not to.
i mean, yeah there's stuff inappropriate for her but shes willing to read it anyway and since she has read the previous ones shed probably really want to read the fourth. :)

No. Not for violence or anything, but I don't think she'll appreciate it as much. Or you can let her, and tell her to read it again when she's older. It seems to mean more to teens then pre-teens.
