I have a 5 year old single core laptop 1.46 Ghz, 1 gig of ram, and 80 gigs HDD. I recently installed Windows 7 HP. I'm using a 4 gig flash drive for Readyboost and found that it does speed up my computer a little bit. But would it be better to upgrade my RAM to 2 gigs instead? All feed back appreciated.
How do I upgrade my ram? I open one of hte bottom parts of my laptop, unlock and take out the ram, and put in the new one. As for cost, I don't know yet.

A Flash drive does not speed up you're Computer. All it does is store files. Adding RAM may or may not speed up you're Computer. It will however all;ow you to do more things at the same time without freezing up.(multitasking)

i would pick the 2 GB of RAM if you care about the performance.
btw, just a question.
How do you upgrade it and how much does it cost?
