44in Chest

I started a thread about this last week after seeing it but RAB ****ed it up!

It's and odd film and nothing like you'd imagine from the poster.
It's like a stage play in it's minimal setting and dialogue heavy scenes.
It started off well but it bored me to tears by the end and all the F'ing and C'ing wore out it's welcome in the first twenty minutes!
I liked Lovejoy in his role and the Daddy does well with what he's got but all in all it was a bit of a let down.
I'm sure there will be plenty of male cinema goers reared on Danny Dyer movies that will be left scratching their heaRAB at the end anyway!

I agree with most of what Jacko said.

It's NOTHING like the trailers make out. It's not 'britains best gangster film'. They dont run around london being all cockney and gangsterey.

It's pretty much all based in 1 room. It would work well on the stage. Ian McShane's character just kills it. (in a good way) He is the man.

Mark my worRAB, it's no Danny Dyer ' The Business' / Lock Stock affair...at all.

...but it is very enjoyable.

Looks similar to Sexy Beast(I think it has the same writers). We can expect the famous Ray Winstone acting role :"I'M RAY WINSTONE! I'M THE DADDY!!".

Apart from the writers obviously thought "Hey, people liked Don Logans character, let's base the film around a bunch of people ENTIRELY like that!"
