ok i had a kawasaki KX 250, but i recently sold that and bought a crf230f (i really needed a quieter bike)

im used to the peakyness of a 2 stroke, but the 4 stroke has a constant power to it, so how should i ride it? high rpms or low rpms?

Whatever feels natural.
There is no right or wrong way to ride a 4 stroke dirt bike.
Mid range would be better.
Low - possibility of fouling plugs and carbon build-up in the combustion chamber, including the valves.
High - more ware on moving parts.

Low RPM's. More miles per gallon.
Better sound. Less wear on the engine. although, you will never
wear it out.

well man like he said thers realy no particular way to ride one. just depends on what your ridn on. asphalt, dirt, around a track. ive had 5 4 strokes and i just got a cr125. they dont foul plugs almost at all un less the motor is bad. and the power band is more spread out thru the throttle range than with the 2strokes. but they can shure take a beating. so keep on ridn hard man.
