I'm building a car stereo system for my car. I want to be able to run:
1 X 2200W RMS Subwoofer
2 X 6"x8" 3-way Speakers (possibly 5-way, around 80W RMS)
2 X 6"x9" 3-way Speakers (same as above)
Does this mean that I would need a 5-Channel stereo? Or would a 4-channel stereo work if I linked the (2) 6"x8" speakers together, and the (2) 6"x9" speakers together. I would assume that would qualify as a 3-channel setup.
Also, the 4 smaller speakers I plan on buying have their own little amps. Does this mean I can ignore the Wattage rating on the stereo? (The stereo says it has an RMS output of 80W)
