4.3l tbi to carbed 350 swap in 1990 chevy half ton?

right now a 4.3l tbi is sitting in my frame rails in my truck. i have a chance for a some year carbed 350. is it worth it to run a older engine in my swap and get away from the electronics or should i wait out till i can find a tbi 350? reasons behind the suggestions will help the best thanks
