For English, I’m writing an autobiography. The auto biography needs to consist of three texts, each of them being a personal discourse.
E.g. I play rugby, soccer and I go to school. I have to write three texts.. . (being a rugby player) , (my life as a soccer player) and (my school life and it’s values beliefs and attitudes of school life).
Now these texts can be written in any sort of 1st person text. E.g. Recount, Letter, Diary, Memoir.
However, I have to find a binary opposite.
Binary opposite example:
Say I was writing a recount of being a rugby player. A rugby player’s discourse consist of playing rugby, getting fit, being healthy. HOWEVER, on the other hand, I LOVE to party. Now partying has an opposite to the rugby discourse being… eating junk food, and non-healthy things, where alas; as a rugby player you have to be fit.
Now I’m planning on doing a discourse of
No.1 Being a Chinese.
No.2 Being a Christian.
My question is: What should I do for my 3rd text type? This 3rd text type has to link in with either being a Chinese or a Christian, and also be a binary opposite.
More than 1 suggestion would be good. Oh and it can be fictional to a certain extent. You can even write in the text type of your future. (e.g. pretending you are an actor in the future, and you are writing a diary entry about your latest movie role).
Thanks very much.
