3G phones?

Hi, does anyone know the difference between American 3G and European 3G and Asia 3G? I been trying to look on-line for the difference but all I get is web pages telling me how does 3G work instead.

North American 3G uses 850/1900MHz due to radio spectrum allocation. The rest of the world uses 2100MHz because it was still open. So basically if you're looking for a 3G phone for use in North America, your best bet is to go with your service providers offering.
