3G for T-Mobile

I sent an e-mail to t-mo tech support and suggested i was thinking about jumping ship to at&t or sprint due to the 3G capabilities on thier networks and that i would stay with t-mo if the rollout was imminent. But that i've seen others rollout thier 3G networks but have yet to hear anything about T-Mobile's 3G plans. This is part of the e-mail response i just recieved today.

"The acquisition of spectrum has doubled
T-Mobile's spectrum position in the top 100 U.S. markets, which will
facilitate a planned 2007 commercial rollout of 3G
next-generation-network services to enhance core voice services, and
deliver applications that will take consumer-based PC functionality
mobile. Unfortunately we do not have any exact dates for when this
service will be available; however, please rest assured that we are
currently working on it to better suit our customer's needs."

So it looks like 4th quarter for t-mo to finally roll out 3G.
 
yeah we already have 3g, the difference between us and the other carriers is that we are keeping it on lock so we can roll it all at once with no problems, and the other carriers are trying to put bits and pieces out and work out the kinks while people are using it, that's way to many variables, keep it in a controlled enviroment until you know it works and then put itout, 4th quarter 2007 , and i think by 2nd quarter 2008 would be the latest.
 
sweet. thanks ben. i wonder when the first 3g blackberry will come out? i know it's not gonna be cheap whatever it is. i'll prob have to wait a while to be able to afford it.lol
