3G and Wifi on???

ANother day and yet another problem with my Nexus S.

I was forced to restore factory settings today because my phone stopped syncing since updating to 2.3.3.

Now syncing is working, but for some strange reason it seems that both the 3G and WiFi icons are on in my taskbar..

WTF?? Anyone have any ideas?

Have seen reports of this with some people who did an early upgrade to 2.2 on Moto Defy, and others with different phones. The consensus seems to be that no matter what's showing in the bar, wifi always trumps 3G. While running wifi I often see edge, but when I download something the edge arrows never respond if I have wifi on.
