3D - Which films would be good and which would be a waste of time?

Scifi and special effects movies. I'd like to see Bladerunner with a 3D City and the flying cars. Drama and serious movies would be pointless.

I'll only be paying to watch 3D films which have been properly planned and shot entirely using new 3D equipment like Avatar. I'm not wasting money going to see films that have rushed it last minute to earn a few extra bucks. This is actually cheapening this new 3D era.

I was only having a conversation with a friend the other day, which was about all the current remakes that seem to be coming out of Hollywood over the past couple of years, especially the horror films, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Last House on the Left, with NIghtmare on Elm Street dus soon.

The thing is, I am not sure any of the remakes, not just the horror films above, but any of the recent remakes have been better or added anything to the original.

I certainly would not want to see a remake of a film, just because it could be in 3D, as I am not a lover of 3D films anyway, I cannot really see the point in a full lenght film being in 3D, as the ones at a theme park are OK for 20 minutes or so.

Mary Poppins - So many great scenes that would be amazing in 3-D, the fairground from the paintings, the chimney dancing and when they are having tea on the ceiling. At the end you could have the flying kite coming at you.
