3D any limit?

With 3D started on a dedicated channel and more to follow, (in the very long term) I was thinking, how long could we watch a channel that has only 3D stuff going out before the headaches and pain over the eyes start to get to us? When the tests for 3D started there were some who said they got headaches after one football match. Would we have to switch over to the flat channels for a while? Will the 3D tv sets make it easy on the eyes with no need to put on the specs?
 
Its like asking if you get eye strain from using the computer too long. I'm sure you would, but its not that big a deal. It self corrects.
