39 weeks pregnant got into a car accident on weds. the doc kept me overnight to monitor the baby who is doing amazing!.. i had contractions 5 mins apart lasting two mins each and let me tell you this is my first child and it felt like someone was ripping my spine and uterus out lol..so the nurse offered a pain med my doc said would help me sleep but it stopped all my contractions and now i just fell like period crampy.. i was only one cm dialted and 80 percent effaced.. what is effaced? and how much longer does it usually take its in my back alot today and i just feel like im having one huge contraction !!
