360 V2 release date?

Thinking about getting a 360 in the very near future. Is there any solid info about when the new version (HDMI/larger hd? and new 65nm CPU Core) will be released? I have a older HDTV with component hookups but looking to upgrade later this year to a 1080P set.
 
Larger CPU core? Does this affect proccessing power?

I fucking hope not, I dont want my console future turning into a goddamn PC pissing contest.
 
Ah, I thought MS was trying to make it more like a PC where you have to buy the better version to play the newest games. I was getting pissed.

Considering the die shrink for the CPU has been delayed til Q2 2007, I'd say a price drop in March to clear old stock and ramp up sales, and revision 2 release in June, along with more video marketplace content or opening it to another country or something.
 
ok if the hd player is included inside the casing will they ever have hd-dvd games for the xbox or will the hd-dvd player just be a player of movies??
 
If they use HD-DVD media for games, that would force consumers who have older 360's either upgrade thier console to the newest version, or buy the HD-DVD attatchment
 
Or....

Buy from Costco & save the reciept, enjoy games NOW, return old console to Costco if/when the new version arrives and either swap it, or get your money back and buy it somewhere else.
