Would it be worth it to get a 1999 pontiac bonnville for $3000? It has about 120,000 miles on it and a new sticker.

no, absolutely not. I do not recommend spending 3000$ on this vehicle unless you happen to own a few major companies and can blow your nose on 100$ bills. and even then, i'd hope one of those major companies is an auto mechanic, so you can be your new biggest client.

I have seen nothing but trouble with bonnevilles, especially late 90s/early 2000s models.

I have known 4 people with pontiac bonnevilles, and they have had more problems with them i can even recount.

in 2003, my ex bought a 1999 pontiac bonneville with ~ 60,000 miles on it, for 12,000$, and was taking it in for repairs within 3 months on purchase. we parted ways about 8 months or so later, but in the time i spent around that car, she had to replace the radiator, the alternator, the distributer cap, and the fuel pump.

my mom drives a 2001 pontiac bonneville, which she bought in about 2006 for about 13,000$ with about 100,000 miles. she has had to replace the fuel pump, the starter/solenoid, and the windshield wiper motor, and has had alot of oil leaking problems and it's now on the verge of burning out the head gasket.

a co-worker of mine drives a 2000 pontiac bonneville, and has replaced the alternator twice, and is in need of transmission repairs/replacement (shifts VERY hard, sometimes will not shift into reverse). there have been other problems, but i don't know them all. he paid 2,000$ for his less than a year ago, and it hasn't hit 100,000 miles yet (last i rode in it, it was at 88 or 89k).

my cousin had a 1993 pontiac bonneville, which he bought sometime between 1996 and 1998 (i'm guessing it had very few miles on it), and blew the head gasket, not to mention the horrible oil leaks.

pontiac bonnevilles (probably, indeed all pontiacs) are junk. they cost too much money to maintain and are known to have ALOT of problems, especially major engine problems (like blowing the head gasket).

I DO NOT recommend buying this vehicle.
