Has anyone else seen the trailer for this?

It's a new horror film with Josh Hartnett and Ben Foster.

I may be wrong but I think it's about vampires coming out to play in the Arctic circle during their 30 days of night (hence the title).

It looks pretty good. I may actually pay to see this.

its not the same actually.

they're both by muse though

28 WEEKS later trailer music is shrinking universe

30 days of night trailer music is the instrumental version of apocalypse please

It's made by the folks behind the American version of The Grudge, Boogyman, and prior to that, Xena and Hercules (Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert). Don't think they've made a dud yet, and always on tight budgets.

I liked this film. It would not have been the scariest film I have ever seen but it did have its moments. Thought the cinematography in it was very good - there was a definite artistry through a lot of the shots (don't want to ruin anything for those who have yet to see) and it was not the usual run of the mill vampire films in that the attacks were what you would expect to be more realistic (if vampires existed) than the usual 'look into my eyes and be hypnotised whilst I suck your blood, Hammer style'. Thought a few things especially with Hartnett's character were formalistic but hey its Holywood:D

Overall it was not a bad film, I've seen better but I've also seen worse, I liked the premise behind it but it seemed a bit rushed, even though it was a two hour film they tended to jump the days a bit, it didn't give the impression of 30 days passing when, obviously by the title, it should have.

Saw this last night, still not sure what to make of it..I am leaning more towarRAB it being pretty average, but it did have some genuinely good bits...it looked nice...the vampires were great but I just felt it jumped about all over the place one min folk were at one place, then suddenly at another and it just didn't gel and the ending was just pointless, bit of a shame they hadn't stuck to the graphic novel a bit more maybe then it'd of been more coherent and the ending would have made a bit more sense...directors cut please!

Went to see this today.

It was really good. If you like vampires, blood and gore, then this is a film you would probably enjoy.

I've not read any novel about this film (or one the film was based on), so this is based on seeing the film only.
