3 week baby using swing?

I have a 3 week baby that loves the swing, I want to know how long it is safe to let him swing for and if let him sleep in swing overnight is fine with it swinging?

I put my babies in their swings the day we got home from the hospital. They always splet better in the swings and for longer periods of time. I never heard anything about leaving them for to long. They also slept in there over night with it swinging, of course they were up every 1-2 hours. I say if he loves it and he's happy let him be.

I PUT MY BABY IN THE SWING THE FIRST DAY WE GOT HOME BUT I WOULD ONLY LET IT SWING FOR 20 MIN. IS NOT GOOD TO LEAVE IT ON THE WHOLE NIGHT.

When my son was that young he threw up a lot and the only place he would sleep was his swing because he could sit up and it not hurt his belly. I kept it on the lowest setting that it had and I was right there with him. I'm a very light sleeper so I heard everything. If that's the only place your son will sleep I would let him so you can both get your sleep because you both need it if not then I wouldn't let him because you don't want it to turn into a habit that you won't be able to break.

I would truly say make sure you have the right kind of swing the one that lays back a little also never let a child stay in the swing over night very dangerous and no more than 20 min when there so young..I think you should get the vibrating chair next... They do have the cradle swings that you sit on the floor that are much safer that rock first before putting a 3 week old in a swing way to young and dangerous..

As long as the baby wants.

I let my son take naps in his swing bc he would stay in it for longer periods of time. However, I wouldnt let him sleep overnight in it.

But really there is no harm. As long as you keep an eye on him.

From day one my son has loooovvveeddd being in his swing. And I used to put the swing right next to my bed and let him sleep in it at night. I put it on low and let him swing through the night with the music. My pediatrician just said to make sure the swing was in working in order (not old and prone to breaking) and I should be fine if im a light sleep when it comes to my baby. She said she has seen it may times before and has never heard of anything bad happening.

Good luck!
