3(5x-1) - 2x + 8 Simplify?

Can someone please tell me if I simplified this expression the right way?
3(5x-1)-2x+8
15x+3-2x+8
13x + 11

= 15x - 3 - 2x + 8
= 13x + 5

OK you did not simplyfied the brackets right. You got the 15x but it's not +3. It is 3*-1 which is -3. It should be like this:
3(5x-1)-2x+8
15x-3-2x+8
13x+5
