28 Days Later DVD query

I own this as part of a boxset (along with Dog Soldiers and The Descent) and i've noticed that the post-credits alternative ending where Jim dies in a hospital isn't actually on the disc, which i'm not too happy about.

So is it also missing on the standalone DVD releases?

Or have I just not found it on the rather fiddly menu?

I'm assuming the impending Blu-ray will have it which i'm considering getting, although i've heard the PQ leaves a lot to be desired.
 
I got the standalone DVD a few years ago and remember seeing the alt ending on it. Cant get to the disk at the moment but have a feeling it was under the extras somewhere.
