27 Dresses

I can't wait to see this film :o

It opens in the states sometime in Feb but not out in the UK until March I think.

I'm expecting big things for this film which most ceratinly means I'll be somehow disappointed. Though with Katherine Heigl, it should be ok.

I liked it. It's very predictable but the casting is spot on and it's great to see Ed Burns back on the big screen. Some very funny moments - some very cheesy moments too - but I came away entertained. Don't expect to see it on next years Oscar nominations list though. And you'll want to listen to Benny And The Jets by Elton John when you get out of the cinema too. Watch it and you'll know why.

I went to see it yesterday and I'm glad I did. It was a really good film for its genre - very entertaining.

Surely it's out erlier than that in the UK - it's been on public release for a week here already!

The thing is, Knocked Up seemed like a big chick flick, so I didnt bother with it until I saw it on DVD the other day (went and bought it straight away, such a funny film). Does anyone know if this films similar because I cant stand traditional girly chick flicks (knocked up is much more of a blokes film even though it wasnt marketed like it!).

Argh...no :(

I'm a girl, but think I'll give it a miss. I like tense dramas/thrillers and even good war movies.

I can't recall any 'girlie' film that was memorable for me or any I'd want in my collection :o but that's just my own personal preference as I find this particular genre as boring as hell :p:D

I like the look of the film and think I'll give it a go. I thought Katharine Heigl was great in Knocked Up so hopefully she'll be good in this too - it seems like my kind of film and I've read positive reviews. Why didn't you like it, sheddy99?

Just come back from seeing this and I loved it!! Probably not to everyones tastes but its not as tedious as a lot of chick flicks, it was really funny in parts and I really warmed to Katherine Heigl's character. I'd recommend it, even if you're not a huge chick flick fan, as I found it genuinely entertaining and went away feeling satisfied!

P.S. I agree with the above poster about Benny and the Jets, it's downloading as I type!!

I thought it was brilliant. A nice change from the usual Rom-Com fluff that floats around.

Heigl was perfect in the role - actually all the actors were brillaint
