i have a 1500 Chevy and i was wondering if i could put torsion bars from a 2500 in so the front won't sag with a plow on the front and will 2500 leaf springs fit on my 1500

Big Red, The bars will fit just fine and you have a great plan. We just had to change front coils in a Ford Bronco for the same reason. Get this. I took the owner to an AC-Delco distributor in town where we opened their coil spring (Spicer) book. In the pages in the back we matched up a pair of coils with a larger wire diameter that were a tad taller. The diameters and pigtails on the ends were the same as the old ones. It lifted the truck up a full 3" and he didn't give a sh*t about the ride as he has other cars and trucks to drive. It worked out perfectly.

You may be able to pick up a pair of bars at an automotive grave yard. For the heck of it measure the diameter of your bars with a vernier caliper before you head to the scrap yard. As you know you may also improve the hhandlingby picking up a larger diameter front anti-roll (sway) bar also from the 2500 or a 1500 with a trailer ttowingpackage.

I picked up a larger diameter front bar for my 98 S-10 four wheel drive truck from a 2000 Chevy Blazer. That little move reduced the roll a ton.
