when i first went to the doctors, it was kind of like a clinic, so my question is how do i know if he tested me for clamydia, i know he tested me for HIV, than at my next appointment he said my results were here, with the HIV test would it have shown if i have clamydia? and if i had HIV, he would have told me already if i had it right?

im asking this because the docotr was a clinic so i didnt feel like i got the best care/asnwers, now i switched dr's and i have my first app. with the new doc on the 29th.

i have vaginal discharge so im just asking because i want to make sure thats what it is and not something more serious like clamydia

and if your going to answer this with something stupid, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! :)

You would have been told. If you're that uncomfortable with it,talk to your new doctor and have him test you as well. Increased vaginal discharge is a very normal thing in pregnancy.

Discharge is normal during pregnancy as long as it is clear or white. Also, when you go to the new dr ask him to test you for both if you are concerned Im sure he will oblige Good Luck!!!!

chlamydia is very serious during birth can cause blindness in your baby im sure your doctor would have told you if you had it and would be take per cautions because of it. he would have warned you about going into labor or if your waters broke. if your really worried about it give your doctor call and just ask him for your results over the phone im sure he will tell you if it was positive or negative. and the increase in discharge is completely normal hun, nothing to worry about. only worry if it becomes smelly itchy or burning could mean a UTI or thrush and both are easily treated when caught in time....

If you had a vaginal exam, he would've told you. Discharge is quite common though. But if you're itchy, smelly then something is definitely up. IF you notice something between today and the 29th see if you can come in earlier. Or even try those new vagisil testing kits to see if something is going on at least.

Good luck!

IF you were positive for the HIV he would've had to tell you. Did you have a pap smear and pelvic exam. That's usually when they test for STI'd with a specimen from there. HIV is usually done via a blood test and that won't diagnose most other STD's except for hepatitis and Syphilis. If you're not sure just ask your current doctor if the transcripts he/she received from the previous provider had anything about your test results and if you were ever tested for Chlamydia/Gonorrhea. You can ask the doctor to test you if it wasn't done. The new doctor may also be able to diagnose and treat your discharge problem if it is not an STD (could be a yeast or urinary tract infection.
