Hello,
I'm new at this. Basically I've been sick for the past few years and I'm sick of it. No pun intended. My main concern right now is that since Saturday (08/14) afternoon, I've noticed that my legs from my knees down were growing increasingly swollen and painful. As of now they are so swollen I look pregnant, especially with the continuous swollen abdomen. The swelling seems to go up my thighs as well. I want to mention that I gained about 30lbs. in about 3 weeks. I understand with my swelling most of that is probably water weight but 30 lbs in 3 weeks is a LOT. My feet are so tender and painful there are hardly any shoes I can wear without causing and indentation. I was hospitalized last month for 15 days. I was diagnosed with gastritis, pancreatitis, and burst ovarian cysts. The only medicines given to me that I haven't taken before is the mirtazapine, also known as Remeron, the anti-depressant, and Reglan, which is for my stomach. I paged my doctor a few days ago and he said unless I experience chest pain or shortness of breath it's not life threatening. I don't want to let it get to the point where I'm so bloated I can't get up. I already need help walking around the apartment. The worst part is I just started my last semester of college and don't need to be spending all my time in an emergency room. Any ideas?? My feet are causing me a lot of discomfort.
