24 movie this summer?

Jack Bauer could be hitting the big screen as soon as later this year, according to various reports.

The plans would involve shooting a movie version of 24 this summer, after the current fifth season wraps and before the sixth season airs in 2007.

Speaking to reporters at the winter TCA tour, lead star Kiefer Sutherland reiterated his intent to work on the project but admitted that it presented problems for producers Joel Surnow, Howard Gordon and Bob Cochran.

At last. 24 is doing amazingly in the US and it is the right time to do this.

i agree it's doing so well in the states, also 35 millon tuned in for the day five premier. i can wait till day five comes out on dvd.

The initial rumour was first hour, not real-time, second hour+ would be just like the show. Not sure how it'd work, but hell, I'm willing to find out

I'm with you Homer S - I couldn't wait either - what cracking episodes, every one a masterpiece, so good I will watching them on Sunday (even though the commercial breaks will ruin the pace for me)

As for a movie - I am not sure how they intend to do it and remain true to the basic format of the series, either way I will still be there paying my money to watch it on the big screen
