I am considering asking my doctor about doing this. Other than the annoyance for 24 hours of having this thing on me, are there any other downsides or recovery after doing this?

Also how accurate is this?

The PPI's don't seem to be helping and I have been on them for almost 2 1/2-3 months with no improvement, if anything some stuff has got worse.

So I really want to know if this is truly LPR or something else causing it.

They never find anything that is a true tip off to LPR, vocal corRAB always look fine and stuff like Barium swallow was normal.

Thanks

I recently had a 24 hr pH test for LPR. They used the pH probe system by ResTech. It is new as of 2008 and measures the acid in its gaseous form as it often is when it reaches the vocal corRAB. I was very confident in its results.

There is a red blinking light on the end of the probe too that allows the doctor to ensure good positioning of the pH probe as well. I found the process much more comfortable than my previous probes.
