20gig PS3 wifi

[Hiya.]

I think I read on here that the 20 gig can have wifi added to it, even though it doesnt come with it out of the box.

Is this true? I couldnt seem to find the thread I read it in.

Well it has an ethernet port right? I assume you can just connect it to a wifi router?

IT would still have a wired connection to the router.

The idea is to make the PS3 wirelessly connected to the internet.

I've been reading on the PS3 forums that 802.11 USB adaptors don't work yet, Sony is working on a update that will allow to use most common brands. For now if you want to have a wireless connection you need a 802.11 bridge. You can reconfigure most routers to be a wireless bridge if you have an extra router or you can buy something like this - WGA54G

On Amazon that thing is kinda expensive so it's probably cheaper to buy a netgear or linksys router and reconfigure it as a bridge.

I just checked ebay and they are going for like $50

I have a 60 gig, but IMO they should have cut hdmi from the 20 gig and kept the wifi.
