The new trailer for 2012, the apocalyptic film directed by Roland Emmerich (who also made Independence Day and the Day After Tomorrow), has just been released.

(Made sure to watch in HD!)

It certainly looks very epic. Although I'm not to optimistic about the story or acting. But we shall have to wait and see!

As with all Roland Emmerich films just keep watching the trailer over and over again, as you have just scene all the best bits!!!! And then you save yourself a few bob!!!

Great trailer though!!!

Looks good, does anyone believe this will happen in 2012? I do actually believe something will happen in 2012..I don't think it will be as big as the film trailer there, but i think something may..?

I hope not, the following things will happen, and I don't want to miss them:

Poland will adopt the euro

Please Please Me will fall out of copyright, good news for Paul McCartney as he can stick two fingers up to Michael Jackson :p

The centenary of the birth of Alan Turing

The London Olympics

The expiration of the Kyoto Protocol, yay

We'll have gone digital

The 20 petaflop IBM super-computer will be completed

:D

As someone else said, that looks epic but I just know I'm going to hate myself when I've seen this film as it's going to be a great big steaming pile of droppings and I'll have helped to make it a success by traipsing off to the cinema to watch it. Every film Roland Emmerich makes that I've seen I detest. I keep promising myself that I won't watch any more but I'm a sucker for these types of things and the big screen is definitely the place to see it..

Anyone else notice how the White House gets it in the neck again only this time it's not blasted by those pesky aliens but "ironically" flattened by an aircraft carrier bearing the name John F. Kennedy. I also get the feeling that our heroes will either be flying off to a new world in a similar fashion to "When WorlRAB Collide" or doing a Noah and living on an Ark of some kind after watching that trailer. Incidentally, where's all the water come from to flood the entire planet?:confused: Bonkers!

A theory I gathered from the trailer, due to all the cracking of the ground etc, is that this apocalyptic "event" is the earths crust splitting and reforming (it actually has happened to Venus in the past), so perhaps it's just the sea naturally filling in where it's supposed to go?

Maybe something could happen, the person who predicted 2012 also kinda predicted 9,11 but then again he predicted the end of the world another time but the meteor that was meant to hit us was miles away !!! im scared. lol !!

Well want to see this! Trailer looks awesome, but let's hope it isn't just showing the best bits of the movie.

I think the storyline of the film itself will be a bit crap though - just like The Day After Tomorrow.

Saw the trailer tonight at the Cinema, looks well good imo! I love a good disaster movie!

Me too, but then again I leave my brain at the door at these movies and just enjoy the effects!
