I would say just replace some of those faulty parts I am learning more about like: compensator, get plastic parts out of gearbox, updated clutch spring to name a few.Maybe progressive suspension.

Where do you see that? It's listed as NA on their website.

I'm currently working a deal to trade my 08 Ultra for an 11 Ultra Limited. It has oil cooler, 103, ABS, heated grips, etc... Pretty much everythin I can ask for ...also vivid black on vivid black.

Now if I had known that I could have asked for a gyroscope and heated horn button, I would have.. Maybe its not too late.

Well...I understand how you feel but then again I'm not sure what you were expecting. Personally I felt disappointed that the 96 motor remains as the base engine, while the Road King Classic got bumped up to 103 and the Road Glide Ultra comes with it as well. So other than that, I have no complaints. Since 2007 (the year your bike was made) there have been numerous changes....6 gallon tank, tbw, completely redesigned frame, wider rear end, ABS (optional), Brembo brakes, IDS, Adjustable air deflectors, redesigned console, etc..etc... Given that there have been already very significant changes made, I wouldn't expect to see anything else for quite awhile, aside from very minor things here and there.

Well, how about Bluetooth, improved sound system (coaxial speakers at the very least, improved head unit preferable), wireless communication (rider and passenger), improved hinges on tour pak, more ergonomic handlebars, and a better seat. All of this could be done at the factory for less than $1000. To spend as much on the "top of the line" bike as we do this wouldn't be too much to expect standard. What comes standard instead of the above is well below "top of the line".

JMHO.

Ride safe! And I'll keep my '07 a little longer!
