I simply pulled the trigger early on my streetglide when I saw this color. Its an excellent color even better outside. Add a little black to it and it is a great combination!!
Never thought either way on an orange color until the 2010's came out and I was blown away with the two tone on the SEUC, and as you can see, I bit the bullet on one. As to black, weather car, truck, or bike, just not my cup of tea.
When i bought my Road King Custom in 06 i loved the Cobalt blue paint. That lasted about 6 months. Now i have a 2010 sg with the black denim paint and couldnt be happier. The orange is a kick ass color, I agree if you throw some black with it you just might have best of both worlds. JMO!
the bike in your sig is an 06 and now your upgrading to a 2011, safe to say if you don't like the color after a few years thats OK cuz it will be time for another upgrade.
I think the orange and the black on the one you saw in sturgis looks sic.
My last bike was black cherry, which is pretty dark on a Street Bob. I was looking for a black Ultra, but ended up with two tone dark and light green envy (who ever thought of that name for a color?) I get way more looks and comments this bike than I have on any other bike I have ever owned. It is bright! And you can always find it among all those black and red bikes. So, I think it depends on your personality. Do you like to be seen? Or just mix in with the rest of the crowd? I kinda like all the comments. And it's a great way to meet people. Not sure how I will feel in 5-10 yrs, but right now....bright color is COOL!
