2011 Merlot Sunglow SG

I saw a Merlot Sunglow SG ride by me yesterday and I have to say that color has some interesting effects. It changed from black to red as it past me. Not a very fast color, but still pretty cool to look at.

A older guy I know bought 2011 trike that was the same color. He was backed up near some shrubery which contrasted from the deep blue sky. I swear that thing changed colors as you walked around it.
 
I remember the sales guy at the store telling me it would change colors, but I didn't expect the changes to be so dramatic. I thought it was a black bike when I first saw it and the red it change too was very red.
 
i saw one on the showroom floor and really liked it..... at first glance it Looked like a black bike (whick i like) at least inside...but when i got closer the color came to life... i was like "Dam!"...i was walking aorund it and was watching the paint dance in lighting .... i turned to the nearest salesman and said "this thing should be outside on the front porch in the sun..i'll bet you'd sell it by the end of the day"

i'm thinking that color might end up on mine someday...maybe in a sublte 2 tone scheme..with vivid black and some pinstriping
 
Yeah, the color does change a lot. You have to have something shine on it to see the metal flakes. Even outdoor when it is cloudy, it looks almost black and at the least black cherry. But indoors or out, when you shine light on it, it just pops like crazy!
 
Got mine last month.
You guy's are right!
It changes color when the sun hits it!
it changes color when a truck backs up on it also!
Crushed my front fender.
It's in the dealer getting a new fender, down tubes and lowers.
The damage was only cosmetic so far.
Getting new chrome lowers while it's at he dealer and they have to replace them anyway.
Great color though!
