2011 Jeep Patriot or 2011 Subaru Impreza?

A 16 year old doesn't need a brand new car. It will likely be all dented and dinged up within a year. But go for the Subaru. They're cooler.

does the job and is fairly inexpensive to fix
and subaru is always better than jeep in every single way...had one as my first, still have a subaru, and my next car will still be a suby
 
I was just wondering which one is better for a 16 year old as a first car. Both are fairly inexpensive, AWD, and get good mileage. Any thoughts?
