2011 Ford Explorer vs. 2011 Toyota Highlander?

I am having a REALLY hard time deciding which one to get. I was gonna get another car but then the Ford Explorer came out and I fell in love. However, looks can be deceiving... so what what would you recommend? My main concern is reliability; i want a car that will last me a long time and wont fall apart after 2 years.

We've had problems with Ford before and so have some of my friends.... should I trust Ford with the new Explorer? Or would the Highlander be the better choice?
 
I'm stuck between these 2 also. I drove all competitors and have not driven the
Explorer yet. I did drive the highlander 3 times to compare same day
With others (gmc Acadia and Mazda cx9 and pilot). IMO highlander is the best
Of these. I own a Toyota 4 runner and it has 180k on it but has been as reliable
As you could hope for (only scheduled maintenance), so I trust the long term
Reliability of Toyota, but the new look explorer is hands down the more appealing
Visually. I would have a hard time taking looks ahead of long term brand quality, especially
For a 1st model year (redesign). I will have to drive the ford though.
