could even be a bad tank of gas? yes if if u had synthetic put in it will be a slight bit louder. dealers dont get paid much for there time on troubleshooting for warentie work so some will be hesitant unless the issue is obvious. talk to the service manager if he doesnt make u happy explaine to the owner why hes loosing your busness.
 
did you change over to synthetic oil at the 1k service?
it made my motor louder. Tried it in all three holes but did not like the clutch feel or the hard time shifting especially when trying to get into neutral so I went back to dino for those 2 holes, back to normal now.
I have also noticed a drastic drop in my mileage lately too. I was getting in the mid 40's and now it dropped into the mid 30's driving the same way. BTW I have a 2009 Ultra with 12k.
