2010 Street Glide Rough Ride

I've been riding my 2010 Street Glide for 8200 miles. Can't seem to find an air pressure that the ass end likes. I bottom out (feels like no shock at all) daily. One up or two, no air or max and everywhere in between. Anybody else had this problem and have any helpful suggestions?

Yes I had that problem. Took me 2 YEARS to find that 15 psi suits me for solo riding. I'm 215 lbs. Ran 25 for a long time because it was recommended in a lot of posts and after a week long tour my back was killing me from the jolts. I was actually about ready to drop some major coin on a Ricor set-up when fortunately I stumbled on the 15 psi and realized I didn't need the suspension upgrade. Needless to say I am much happier with the bike now.

Good luck in finding your sweet spot.

I had the same issues and replaced the stockers with Progressive 940 shocks. No more playing with the pump and searching for the sweet spot. Just hop on and go.

Some folks drained the stock oil and replaced it with 7.5 wgt. There are threads telling how.

I am struggling slightly with the same issue. I bottom out with some of the larger expansion joints in the road. And some other bumps. I want to keep my stock height, as I am comfortable when planting my feet now with the Mustang Solo seat. When the wife is on it can be worse. Neither one of us are large, I am 180 and the wife is a petite 140 or less, she won't tell me for sure! LOL

the 2011 roadglides come with 12 inch shocks. they seam to ride better then the 09 streetglide i had. like someone stated earlier buy the 13 inch shock.

The hydraulic shocks on the 2010 CVO Street Glide are awesome and manually adjustable. Still 12 inch but the ride is excellent. It never bottoms out and takes a minute to readjust for 2 up
