2010 Honda Civic horn honking and lights flashing while driving, what happened?

I was driving at 30 mph, slowing down to make a turn and my car started honking and all lights were flashing. I pulled over and turned my car off (even though i could drive fine while this was happening) and removed the keys from the ignition but it continued. When i pressed the panic button on my key, the lights flashing and horn honking stopped, but then it started honking for the alarm. When i turned the engine on to get my alarm to end..everything was fine. I tried looking in the manual for why this happened but no luck. Help? Thank you in advance
