I can't locate the rear lights wiring harness socket/plug on my 2010 Roadglide. It's not visible like on the 2007 FLTR I had.I'm trying to hook up a y harness to turn the tail lights on a tour pak into turn signals also. Got the kit , but can't locate a plug anything close to the one provided in kit ? Any help, piks, etc would be welcomed. Thanks.

Not sure I understand your question, but if you are looking for the connector that you used to connect tour pak lights to on your '07, that harness is used for the LED light in the bottom of the rear fender. It's probably zip tied to the antenna cable along the left frame rail and you can trace along the harness/antenna cable to find the connection.

If you want to create a Y-connector/pigtail to plug both the tour pak lights (for the Y-connector in the kit your purchased) and fender LED into, these are the part nos. you'll need in additon to wire:

Pigtail to plug into the TP harness to create two connections: one for the TP lights' connector, and one for the SG LED:

1. 73103-96BK (used to plug into the bike's TP harness. The wire terminals are 73190-96; three required, but they're cheap so buy a couple extra in case you screw-up the crimp--return the unused ones if you like).

2. 73153-96BK (used to create two connectors for TP and SG LED, so buy two. The wire terminals are 73191-96; three required for the TP lights; two for the SG LED; but, go ahead and wire both with three wires, so a total of six required, but buy a couple of extra.

Good luck with your project.

If you remove the left saddlebag, you'll see the antenna cable and the tour pak harness zip tied to it; actually more towards the rear of the fender.

wmfuller, if you are installing the tour pak turn signal conversion kit, the Y-harness goes in-line with the rear fender lighting and the connection for that is under the seat and atop the rear fender. Forget about the tour pak light harness that you used on the '07--it isn't used.

I installed that kit today and did a long post on the install with pictures:

http://www.hdforums.com/forum/touring-models/558960-installed-w-pictures-tour-pak-turn-signal-conversion-kit.html

Bascially, instead of using the tour pak light circuit you used on your '07, the kit disconnects the tour pak lights from that harness and replaces it with the auxiliary harness that plugs into the Y-connector that is installed in-line with the rear lighting.

I didn't really understand what you were inquiring about and its relationship to the kit you are installing. Once I did, I realized that you were looking for something you won't be using.

Take the seat off and you'll see the connectors sitting on the rear fender. Unplug them, insert the Y-harness, and then route the auxiliary harness and assemble the connector to plug into the unused connector on the Y-harness.

On my 2010 FLTRX I installed a jumper plug for the trailer lights, this plug was inside the left sidecover. Remove the side cover and towards the back of the area is the plug. That's what I used.

Thanks all for the input on the rear lites wiring harness. The 2010 FLTRX doesn't have the rear lite harness plugs under the seat on top of the fender like my 07 had. The plug is under the left side cover to the rear of the fuse box next to the frame like "Casper" mentioned. Unfortunately the plug/socket does not match the " Y " harness plugs/sockets provided in the turn signal kit. I removed the wires and socket from the Y harness that plug into the new harness that installs in the tourpak. Spliced the wires onto the factory rear lite plug wires on the rear lite side of the plug/socket. The wires were colored matched so it was fairly easy to do, strip, solder, heat shrink. Plugged it into the tourpak and had turn signals on the tourpak rear corner lites. Mission accomplished !

wmfuller, the HD Service Manual says the rear fender wiring harness connectors (7A and 7B) are located under the seat on rear fender:

[7] Rear fender lights harness 8-place Multilock (BK) Gray Top of rear fender (under seat)

Don't know why your bike would be different.

Carl,
Several times in this thread you've referred to his '07 model.
You are aware that he's inquiring about a '10 model, right?
The plugs are in different locations between the model years.
